Yes of course. I recommend 5-10 group photos so that I still have plenty of time to capture natural photos of your guests enjoying themselves. Each group photograph takes approximately 2-3 minutes. If you would like a photograph of everybody at the wedding, please allow 15 minutes for this.
Backing up wedding photographs is one of the most important aspects of the job that is often overlooked. We only use professional quality hard drives and always make duplicate backups immediately after each wedding. These backups are then backed up again on portable hard drives which are stored off-site to prevent loss from fire or theft. Additionally, the RAW files are backed up online via cloud storage for extra safety.
Shane uses two cameras throughout a wedding day. Both are Canon full frame SLR’s with L-Series professional lenses. He also has a third backup camera, along with other backup equipment such as lenses and lighting. Shane’s cameras feature dual memory card slots to ensure that every photograph taken is recorded to two individual memory cards. Therefore if one memory card fails, we always have a backup copy. Canon prime lenses are Shane’s preferred choice. They let in the most light (perfect for dark churches) and they create beautiful depth of field.
When I meet couples for an initial consultation, one of the first things that I often hear is “we don’t really like having our photo taken”. This is natural. You may freeze up or feel awkward having your photo taken, but a big part of that is due to the person taking the photo. When Mum or Dad pushes a camera in your face and says “smile” you are instantly under pressure. My wedding photography style is relaxed and natural. For the majority of the day I capture moments without setting anything up. Of course I’ll still take some portraits of the bride and groom, but this only takes approximately 40 minutes and I’ll always split this photo shoot up into two 20 minute sessions (once before and once after the meal) so that you’re not away from guests for too long. The best wedding photographs are those that capture emotion and this is what I am constantly striving to do. You will look and feel amazing on your wedding day so just relax and enjoy yourself!
Yes, all of the best images are individually edited for quality and consistency. We have a professional photo editor (Kat) who works for our studio full time. After she has edited the images, Shane checks and makes final adjustments according to his signature style.
You will receive all of the final images on a USB or via digital download – whatever you prefer. These are the high resolution files, all individually edited, complete with a licence to print and share your images. We also highly recommend ordering a wedding album as this is the best way to look back at your photos for many years to come.
Yes, we offer a fun wedding photo booth service which is the perfect addition to your evening reception. Our photo booth is guaranteed to keep your guests entertained and capture some hilarious photos. An assistant will set up and operate the booth whilst Shane continues photographing the wedding.
My full day package includes everything with no limitations. I’ll be there photographing the morning preparations and will stay right through until the party. I want to capture the full story of your day so I do not limit time, the number of images taken, or the number of images that you receive. Anything else would be a compromise and I only want to deliver the best.
