The Grand Ballroom

Achnagairn Estate is best known for its grand ballroom. This spacious room can host a dinner for up to 200 people and is the perfect place to dance the night away. With original oak panelling the feel of the room is sheer opulence. The ballroom is a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography. Ceremonies can also be held in the ballroom. The original minstrel’s gallery is the perfect place to take aerial wedding photography during Achnagairn Estate ceremonies. Originally designed for the owners daughter’s birthday celebration in 1912 the room has a long history of holding luxury events.

Wedding weekends at the castle

Hosting a dream wedding in a Scottish castle is a desire for many couples. Often the wedding party travel from far outside of Scotland to attend the couples special day. At Achnagairn Estate they have considered all the needs of the couple extending to before the wedding day. Guests arriving the afternoon before the event are allowed to explore the castle. Only the ballroom is kept closed to keep the ‘wow’ factor for the ceremony. An informal dinner prior to the wedding day can be held in any one of the 7 lodges Achnagairn Estate has to offer.
