One of the most unique wedding venues in the North West has to be Wellbeing Farm. Couples choose this countryside venue not only for the photographic opportunities but also the relaxed atmosphere. It was a perfect choice for Sally and Peter’s summer wedding. It’s great when a couple choose a venue which is a little different from the norm. It certainly makes capturing the photos fun!
Little Moments
The wedding day began with bridal preparation. Spending time with the bride and her bridesmaids in the morning allows the brides personality to shine through in the images. Telling the story of the day is what we love to achieve. There are so many little moments we love to capture at bridal preparation. From everyone wearing their matching Bambi socks to the joy of seeing the bride ready for the first time.
Wedding ceremony
Sally looked stunning in her Justin Alexander dress. The colour palette was red and white, accentuated by the wedding flowers from Peter & Margret. Hair and makeup was expertly finished by Sonara Parker. Once ready we headed to the ceremony for a traditional church wedding. The Triangle Community Methodist Church was fantastic to photograph in as it’s so large and bright. Sally and Peter were one of the smiliest couples to photograph. However the best thing about the church has to be their post ceremony cake selection! It was such a nice touch. Guests and photographers alike enjoy any excuse for cake!
Decorative Touches
Once at The Wellbeing Farm for the wedding reception there was so much to photograph. The team have put a huge effort into adding decorative touches and quirky details. Upon arrival guests are met with so much to look at from rustic signs, animal statues and the breathtaking countryside views. It was a touch drizzly at the start of the day but it didn’t put a dampener on spirits. How can you not be excited when Wellbeing Farm’s resident animals come out to say hello! On the farm there are two very well dressed llamas, a donkey and the resident dog. I caught the dog sneaking someones Corona which made for a great picture.
Photos With The Llamas
Couples who get married at Wellbeing Farm are certain to love animals. One of our favourite photos from Sally and Peter’s wedding is of them alongside the llamas. Luckily the weather brightened up for the group photos. Nobody wants to stand in the rain waiting for their turn to be photographed! Afterwards guests filled the beautifully decorated barn ready for wedding breakfast.
On To The Speeches
After securing hilarious photos with the llamas, the speeches began. As always the wedding speeches were funny, emotional and heartfelt. Sally and Peter are such a warm and friendly couple this was shown in the words their loved ones had to say about the two of them. Natural photos of the speeches are often the couples favourites from their wedding day.
Award Winning Portrait
Just after the speeches Sally and Peter went outside to take a few couples portraits. It was sunset which is an amazing time to get pictures. We are thrilled that one of the sunset portraits was chosen by Masters of Photography to win an award! Using natural golden light is something Shane loves. Any opportunity to capture a few photos during this magical time of day should be taken. Many photos taken at sunset feature in Shane’s portfolio as the light is so beautifully flattering.
Wedding Party
Another part of the wedding we love to capture is the evening reception. Everyone loves party photos of guests having a great time. Sally and Peter chose to have a band and DJ for the evening which is a great choice. LindyPop opened proceedings followed by a set from Daniel Jones. Needless to say everyone was up dancing. The best way to finish off a summer wedding at Wellbeing Farm is unquestionably with a party!
