The grounds at Leeds Castle are endless and present many locations for wedding photos. During the drinks reception our photographers will take the bride and groom for a relaxed portrait session. These first official photos as husband and wife are always lovely to capture. We specialise in elegant and stylish portraits that are edited in a bright and modern style. Luxury clients from all over the world come to Leeds Castle and commission us for their wedding photography. Shane has been voted in the ‘Top 50 UK Wedding Photographers’ for two consecutive years and his award-winning portraits are highly sought after. The castle itself is a breathtaking backdrop surrounded by a beautiful lake. As such there are plenty of opportunities for stunning Leeds Castle wedding photos. Our photographers primarily use natural light. This allows us to work quickly, capturing lots of images and utilising multiple locations within a short amount of time. On a wedding day there are typically around 30 minutes for bride and groom portraits. Top tip – you can borrow a golf buggy from Leeds Castle and use this to take wedding pictures at more locations!

We recommend brides are ready in their wedding dress about thirty minutes early to allow time for photos. This is a great opportunity to get wedding pictures in the lovely rooms of Leeds Castle before the ceremony commences. Photographers can capture images such as the bride on her own, with bridesmaids and also with parents. In addition to this a must-have picture is the father of the bride’s reaction to seeing his daughter ready in her dress. At Leeds Castle the grand staircase is perfect for this ‘reveal’ moment.

A Grand Wedding Breakfast Setting

Wedding breakfasts are held in the grand Leeds Castle banqueting room. This magnificent setting is sure to wow your guests! Often brides and grooms will choose two long tables as this really makes the most of the medieval space. We recommend decorating the tables with large floral centrepieces as this will produce stunning photos. Details and flowers are used by photographers to give you luxury wedding images. At a previous Leeds Castle wedding we photographed there was an incredible 5 tier cake. With gorgeous sugar flower detailing it was an eye catching centre piece. Flowers can be arranged from Leeds Castle and Hall Of Cakes are the recommended cake suppliers.

Evening Photographs

In the evening we love to photograph everyone dancing and celebrating. A wedding would not be complete without party pictures! Leeds Castle is a great venue for night time wedding photos as it has purple uplighting. The exterior of the Castle is also lit up so photographers can capture beautiful evening portraits of the bride and groom. It’s well worth taking a few moments to get these images. All of our packages include full day coverage as standard. This means that we stay from the morning preparations until the party. Capturing these fun moments in the evening is something we love to do! We can also stay for fireworks or sparklers if these are arranged. Final photos of the night look amazing as the ending to your wedding album.
