The Ashes Barns Wedding Photography

In recent years barn weddings have become hugely popular. Couples looking for a rustic and beautiful setting for their wedding photography are right at home in The Ashes Barn. Located in Stoke on Trent’s countryside, this venue has idyllic scenery to be enjoyed. Natural and contemporary wedding photography compliments the rustic charm of The Ashes Barns. The venue comprises of historical farm buildings which are grade II listed. With amazing original features the barn dates back to the 18th century. The larger livestock house goes back to the 17th century. Owners Ben and Sarah purchased The Ashes in 2006 and lovingly restored the buildings. This restoration project has allowed Ashes Barns to be put to good use again after years of neglect. Couples can enjoy a piece of history on their wedding day which produces amazing photos. Ashes Barn has fantastic opportunities for wedding photography. Photographers can make the most of the 50 acre estate or venture out into the countryside. Resting at the foothills of the Peak District National Park there are many picturesque locations for photographs. This venue attracts couples who want a rustic wedding and natural pictures. We like to keep things natural rather than overly pose our couples in images. This approach to wedding photography works really well in relaxed wedding venues like The Ashes. There are lots of opportunities to capture beautiful wedding photos in the barn and the surrounding grounds. Key to creating a great venue is making sure couples can have wonderful portraits without travelling far. At The Barn they created formal gardens and maintained the lake. Aside from these areas there is a large pond, courtyard and woodland. The lake is a fantastic feature! Lakeside wedding photos are a must at this venue. We always make sure to take the couple to this beautiful spot for a wedding portrait.

Outdoor weddings

The Coach House allows outdoor ceremonies. Couples can say their vows under the original stone archway. We love an outdoor ceremony when the weather is permitting. Wedding photos of outdoor ceremonies at The Ashes are simply stunning. Light is in abundance and there is so much space for your photographer. If it’s a nice day an outdoor wedding is the way to go. Barn weddings are a perfect blank canvas to style with unique touches. Their natural charm compliments rustic styling. Photographing The Ceremony

If an outdoor ceremony isn’t on the cards then there is the beautiful rustic barn! The West Barn is a spacious place to have your civil ceremony or civil partnership. It has large windows which allow natural light to flood the room. Natural light is a key component to getting the best wedding photography. Often churches can be very dark and photographers love the chance to shoot in light spaces. This is another reason why we love wedding photography at The Ashes Barn. There is also a Juliette balcony.
