Allerton Castle has a vast 2,400 acres of grounds to enjoy. The outside space offers an iddilic setting for couples wedding photographs. At Shane Webber Photography we love natural portraits taken outdoors. Shane likes to take the couple for a short walk to a few pre planned locations. At Allerton Castle the landscaped gardens are a beautiful setting for this. If there is time to venture a little further the lake is stunning for portraits. We recommend spending around 15-30 minutes with your photographer to capture perfect portraits. This time away from guests is great for reflecting on the ceremony and sharing some special moments together.
Time for stunning portraits
Depending on the time of year it’s also advisable to set aside some time for photographs after the wedding breakfast. Some of Shane’s favourite images have been taken during the illustrious ‘golden hour’. When it comes to summer weddings sunset falls after the meal. Only around 15 minutes away from guests is needed to take the most beautiful images. An experienced wedding photographer will have a schedule in mind for making the most of different locations at different times of day. With a venue as large as Allerton Castle it’s so important to choose a seasoned wedding photographer.

Natural Allerton Castle Wedding Photography
After the ceremony guests are invited out into the memorial garden for the drinks reception. The moments shortly after the wedding ceremony are full of joy and emotion. Shane loves to capture this part of the day in unobtrusive and natural style. The best photographs are often taken without the subjects knowledge at all. In the moment the reactions and emotions are pure and uninfluenced. It’s these images which couples often treasure the most. The gardens at Allerton Castle serve as a beautiful backdrop for natural wedding photography.
Most couples choose to have their wedding breakfast in the ballroom. This brightly coloured and ornately decorated room looks stunning in wedding pictures. A number of huge bay windows allow light to flood the room. When looking at a space for the speeches natural light is a big consideration. Photographing in low light is a tricky job. In the ballroom at Allerton Castle photographers don’t have to worry about this issue or resort to artificial lighting. Winter weddings will often be quite dark due to the short days. As always an experienced photographer will be able to work with challenging light levels.
Missing no moments
After the wedding breakfast guests are invited to the Great Hall for the couples first dance. Shane loves to capture not only this special moment but also the party. Some photographers leave right after the first dance and miss moments as a result. It’s so important to Shane to tell the whole story of the day. Photographing everyone having a great time dancing the night away is part of the fun!
