Rich history

The Hall dates back as far as 1170 having been updated and preserved to maintain lots its historical features. Crewe Hall has had a rich and interesting history with visitors as esteemed as Her Majesty The Queen in 1955. Now the property has been opened up to couples to host their wedding day. The Hall only takes on one wedding per day to make sure they deliver an exclusive experience for couples and their guests. We love photographic weddings in this historic Cheshire venue.

Beautiful features

When it comes to weddings there are many options at Crewe Hall. Couples can choose to have their civil ceremony at the venue or just the reception. Depending on the size of the wedding there are a number of options for the ceremony. Each of the spaces on offer boasts beautiful features which Crewe Hall is known for. One of the more intimate rooms is the Oak Parlour. The original oak panelling is a key feature and gives the room its name – wonderful for wedding photos. As Crewe Hall is a historic building the ceremony spaces don’t let in a lot of natural light. Modern purpose-built venues will have considered light within the design. This sadly isn’t possible for old properties. It’s therefore imperative to book an experienced and talented wedding photographer. This is because shooting weddings in lower light is much tricker. A great photographer will still be able to achieve beautiful results.

Extensive grounds

As well as the opulent interiors and charming architecture Crewe Hall benefits from extensive grounds. Perfect for summer weddings the grounds provide a fantastic backdrop for wedding photography. We love nothing more than capturing natural and contemporary portraits of the newlyweds. There are many aspects wedding photographers can take advantage of at Crewe Hall.

Outdoor ceremonies

Couples who want to enjoy the summer weather throughout the day can have their ceremony outside. We absolutely love an outdoor ceremony. Nothing compares to the natural light the outdoors provides. At historic venues choosing an outdoor ceremony where possible means you don’t have to contend with poorer light quality inside. Outdoor weddings have uninterrupted light which always makes for the best photos. Outdoors or indoors wedding ceremony photography is always beautiful at the hall.

Evening Portraits

At night time Crewe Hall is beautifully lit showcasing it’s 17th century architecture. This makes for a fantastic photo opportunity. One of our core values when it comes to wedding photography is making sure we are there to capture the story of the day. This means offering full day coverage in every wedding photography package. We start at the morning preparations and finish after the first dance. Our couples getting married at Crewe Hall can take advantage of this by having stunning evening portraits captured. Crewe Hall wedding photography should always include a beautiful photo in front of the property. After dark is the best time to capture this iconic Crewe Hall wedding photo.
