Stephanie and Will chose Abbeywood Estate as their venue which is one of our absolute favourites. This stunning wedding was a dream to photograph. Abbeywood Estate is a beautiful place set within 45 acres of countryside. There are so many locations to capture gorgeous wedding photos throughout the day.

Bride and groom preparation
The morning of the big day began with groom preparation. It’s always nice to get the chance to photograph the groom getting ready as often only the bride has the morning captured. The morning of the wedding day always has some lovely moments. Will received a lovely note from Stephanie – these little touches make the day extra special. After spending some time photographing the guys it was time to see the bride.
Stephanie and the bridesmaids got ready at her family home with plenty of bubbles and excitement. Hair stylist Lisa Moran worked her magic giving the bridesmaids classic up do’s and styling Stephanie’s long blonde hair in loose curls. The bridesmaids wore long pale pink dresses from Phase Eight. Stephanie chose an elegant silk Pronovias gown from Brides of Chester. She looked stunning! The look was finished off with a delicate rose bouquet from 2lips Florists.
Quirky transportation
After a traditional church wedding the couple and their guests set off for Abbeywood Estate. The guests were all picked up by a vintage double decker bus which was such a great idea. We love quirky touches which are also practical. Wedding schedules can be really tight so getting all the guests to travel together stops anyone getting lost or dawdling.

A beautiful Abbeywood Estate wedding
Abbeywood Estate is one of our favourite venues to photograph weddings at. The gardens are perfect for a summers day. Group shots were all taken in the beautiful grounds of the estate. From start to finish the weather was perfect. Some days the lighting is just right and this was one of them! Shane took some time with Stephanie and Will to photograph their couple portraits. The happiness and love between them shines through completely. Shane likes to give couples guidance on how to stand to take the best pictures but let the natural moments flow between the couple. Both Stephanie and Will were naturals.
Elegant venue styling
Abbeywood Estate wedding receptions are held in the gorgeous conservatory. It’s a total joy to photograph inside this light and airy space. Styling was kept clean and simple; following the light pink colour palette. Shane photographed the details before the guests entered the conservatory. So much time and effort goes into choosing each item, it’s nice to capture these elements. Cheshire Cakes provided the elegant three tier wedding cake in pale pink.
Photography in the grounds
After the meal Shane took the newlyweds outside again for some more relaxed wedding photos. Just a quick stroll through the grounds at Abbeywood is enough to capture beautiful images. Some of Shane’s favourites from the day were taken at this time. It’s also good for the couple to get time out together away from the guests. The wedding day goes so quickly and sometimes couples don’t get to spend enough time together.
First dance and confetti
Once the conservatory was turned around the evening guests began to arrive. For the first dance Shane equipped some of the guests with gold confetti cannons. Confetti always makes a good photo! After the first dance everyone was partying to the band. Shane loves to get amongst everyone on the dance floor and take some party shots to finish the evening.
