Natural Wedding Photography at Belle Epoque
When Amanda and Ian first booked me for their Belle Epoque wedding photography I thought they were crazy – they both live in Australia so had instructed their friend to select and book a wedding venue on their behalf without them ever seeing it! I felt more relaxed when the bride told me that their wedding was going to be at Belle Epoque as I know that this is one of the best venues in Cheshire, situated in the picturesque village of Knutsford. This quirky wedding venue is a little hidden gem and it was a real pleasure to be their Belle Epoque wedding photographer. Amanda and Ian both flew over to the UK just ten days before their wedding and I met them at the Belle Epoque to discuss the plans for their big day. It was clear from the outset that this would be an incredibly laid back English wedding and the bride and grooms only request was for natural photographs to tell the story of the day. Perfect! This is exactly the style of wedding photography that I offer which suited their laid back and relaxed personalities.
It was a real honour to hear that Amanda had been searching on Fearless Photographers – “A network of the best wedding photographers in the world” – to find a Manchester wedding photographer and had decided that I was the perfect choice. In the North West of England there are only thirty six members so I’m very proud to be one of them. The Fearless Photographers network was formed to showcase incredible wedding photos from around the world and it’s inspiring to be a part of such a great community as we all encourage each other to take the best photos possible which ultimately benefits our clients. The standard of photography is very high and it just keeps getting better each year.
Family Love
Belle Epoque wedding photography is always a pleasure but even more so when the bride and groom are so lovely. Amanda and Ian are two of the nicest people that I have ever met and all they wanted was a big celebration for their closest friends and family. With two sons, they both live for their family and it was a joy to capture natural photos that documented how close they are. Kids are great fun to photograph at weddings and the beautiful gardens made this easy. There were a few touching moments as the bride’s mother and grandma hugged her straight after the ceremony. I could see the tears in her grandma’s eyes and it was evidently clear that they have a special bond. Moments like this will be treasured for a lifetime to come so I’m incredibly passionate about capturing these images. The groom, Ian, was very close to his groomsmen too and his friend kindly offered to be the DJ for the reception which was a nice touch.
A fun and relaxed English wedding
With Amanda being a laid back Australian bride I was keen to see the style of dress that she had selected. Wow, what can I say, I loved it! Her Carla Zampatti wedding gown was classy yet subtle. Amanda’s bouquet from Emma Fawcett-Eustace complimented the dress perfectly with rich pink and red roses bursting with colour. Emma did such an amazing job with the flowers! The bold colours really pop and to compete the look Amanda had selected jewellery from Samantha Wills which looked stunning in the Belle Epoque wedding photos. One of the bride’s friends from Australia, Barney Martin, also happens to be an incredible hairdresser so he was of course on hand for bridal preparation to do the girls hair. He did an excellent job, it’s a shame he’s not local so I probably won’t have the chance to work with him again!
Here are some of the highlights from Amanda and Ian’s wedding. Many congratulations to the happy couple and thank you so much for booking me. Knutsford is such a lovely place and the rustic streets have got so much character. Thankfully the weather was kind enough to brighten up in the afternoon for their Belle Epoque wedding photography and although the outdoor ceremony had to be moved inside, the rest of the day was fantastic. It was such a joy to get booked here and I’m really hoping to be back soon!
