Capesthorne Hall – One of Cheshire’s finest wedding venues
Capesthorne Hall really is a spectacular wedding venue. When Cala & Sohail first got in touch to see if I was available to photograph their wedding I was so pleased that I still had the date free. This is undoubtedly one of Cheshire’s finest wedding venues.
An enormous driveway up to the venue is like something out of a movie. In fact, when I spoke to a member of the events team they did inform me that the venue had been used for films and TV shows.
This grade II listed building is situated in several acres of land which is perfect for Capesthorne Hall wedding photography. Prior to the wedding I arranged a venue visit to plan for the photos. Beautiful gardens and Capesthorne’s stunning lake meant that there was plenty to explore. Instantly, I knew this was going to be a good one! I’m so happy that Cala & Sohail booked me as their Capesthorne Hall wedding photographer.
Capesthorne Hall wedding photography
I met Cala in the morning to photograph bridal preparation and despite her makeup artist not turning up, the sun was shining and she was very excited for her big day. This was a traditional Muslim wedding so the bride and her bridesmaids were wearing brightly coloured traditional outfits. Bold colours and stunning jewellery ensured great photos.
Soon the groom was to be arriving at the hall where he would be marched in alongside Dhol drummers. Entertainment like this always makes excellent natural photos.
A traditional Muslim wedding
With this being part 2 of a 3 day Muslim wedding, the bride and groom were already officially married. Instead of a ceremony we used this time for family group photos on the stage. Rings were then exchanged later after the meal during the Muslim ring ceremony.
Without an official ceremony this meant that there was more time for Capesthorne Hall wedding photography. I was able to capture lots of natural photographs as the kids were playing games in the garden. The adults even got involved by starting a football match!
The excellent suppliers
Guests enjoyed delicious canapés by Payal catering. This has to be some of the finest asian catering that I have ever experienced. Tilleymints provided their Ice Cream Bike which went down a storm; especially with the kids.
Artisan House of Flowers made the bouquets which complimented the wedding cake by The Walkden Cake Company perfectly. A soft pink and white colour scheme made for beautiful Capesthorne Hall wedding photos, especially when paired with the green surroundings of the venue. Finally, to entertain guests, The Solo Players String Quartet played during the reception. Attention to detail really makes the difference and this was luxury at its best.
A beautiful summer day
With Capesthorne Hall being such an incredible venue, photographers are spoilt for choice when taking bride and groom portraits. The sun was out and shining brightly. We walked around the lake and took some stunning portraits utilising the bold colours and reflections. Gold jewellery is always a great addition to pictures as it sparkles in the sunshine. This complements my colourful style perfectly.
The interior is Capesthorne Hall also has places to take stunning wedding photography. We took some photos on the grand staircase inside the property. The staircase features a brightly coloured yellow wall and luxury red carpet. To complete a perfect day, the sky even turned pink in the evening for some dramatic photos using off-camera flash. I can’t express how much I enjoyed being part of Cala & Sohail’s big day and hopefully I’ll get booked for more Capesthorne Hall wedding photography soon!
