A superb wedding venue

Alison and John chose Eaves Hall in Clitheroe as their wedding venue. The grand hall sits in the heart of the countryside within Ribble Valley. Surrounded by stunning gardens, it’s sure to impress your guests. Also, the striking frontage and royal style balcony gives a real sense of luxury. On the inside the venue boats a grand ballroom and even a snooker room! These superb features  make Eaves Hall wedding photography so special. Come rain or shine you are guaranteed to get some stunning photographs. Eaves Hall is undoubtedly one of the best wedding venues in the North West. As a result, the staff here have picked up several awards for their commitment to excellence.

Jimmy Choo shoes, grey bridesmaids dresses, pink roses and elegant styling

Bridal preparation was at the bridal suite in Eaves Hall. The room was very grand with its sumptuous interior and there was a balcony where we got some shots of the bridesmaids. Alison kept the colours neutral with the bridesmaids in long strapless grey dresses. The ladies were all wearing matching dresses with hair pulled to the side in an elegant bun. However the bride opted for an elegant floor length strapless gown with intricate detailing. She went all out with a beautiful long veil and tiara. Jimmy Choo gold and silver wedding shoes provided the finishing touch. As it was a spring wedding, the pop of colour came via the flowers. Completing the look, the bouquets were vibrant featuring light pink roses.

John, the groom, was a classmate of mine back at the University of Manchester. Where does time go? Fast forward a few years and he is now getting married! It’s always nice to be able to photograph a friend’s wedding and be such an important supplier. Upon arrival I was really excited to start capturing their Eaves Hall wedding photos.

St Peter’s RC Church in Stonyhurst, Clitheroe, hosted the ceremony. As a result of the recent refurbishment, the Church looked amazing with it’s new roof and stained glass windows. This loving restoration was exactly what St Peter’s RC Church needed. It was a touching moment when the father of the bride proudly handed his daughter to John. There were definitely a few teary eyes which made really emotional pictures. Afterwards the couple left together and were greeted by a beige vintage wedding car. Onwards to Eaves Hall for the reception!

Fun reception ideas

At Eaves Hall guests enjoyed canapés and PIMM’s. We took the moment to line everyone up and get a shot of the newlyweds being doused with confetti. Then I whisked them off around the gardens to get some photos of just the two of them together. Eaves Hall gardens offered a beautiful backdrop for natural and relaxed pictures.

When the couple and the guests are enjoying themselves I like to sneak off and get some shots of the reception room all set up for the wedding breakfast. The tables had white settings with pink accents on the chairs bringing together the colours from the wedding flowers. Each table had its own giant candelabra as a centrepiece. The father of the bride had made the wedding favours. He also provided home made ale which was a lovely touch. As guests settled in to their seats the speeches commenced. Having known John through University made the speeches all the more entertaining. John’s best man included plenty of photographic evidence of their drunken nights out. This brought back some memories!

After their meal it was time for the party. A full size snooker table made some great photos of the bridal party. My favourite for the evening had to be the photographs outside of Eaves Hall when the sun went down. I liked the picture of Alison and John outside Eaves Hall so much I have put it in my portfolio! They also lit sparklers from some romantic evening wedding pictures.
