Bridal preparation at Great John Street Hotel
The Great John Street Hotel hosted the ceremony and the reception for the day. Fiona had bridal preparation with her friends at the hotel. She wore a beautiful lace gown with crystal details from Gemy at Dream Dress Bridal. Hair and makeup was courtesy of Penny at Jodie A Smith. The wedding flowers were provided by David Wayman.
Fun at the Oyster Bar
The reception was held in the fantastic Oyster Bar. What makes The Oyster bar special is that it’s set across two levels. At the lower level there is a bar with large space perfect for a dance floor! Stairs lead up to the mezzanine level with two rooms leading off. For Fiona and Simon’s wedding one room was transformed into a casino by K Croupier Fun Casino. The other room held our fun photo booth! Adding these extra elements to a wedding provides so much fun for guests and creates great moments for your wedding photography.
Fiona and Simon’s wedding reception was decorated beautifully. They chose The Venue Stylist to make their styling perfect. Elements like the cake were kept simple. It was a two tier cake from Tina Cooper decorated with flowers and a beautiful rose gold topper. One of the nicest touches on the tables was a tube filled with colouring supplies to keep the little ones entertained! We ensure to capture these lovely details in photos.
Photography on the Great John Street Hotel roof
A short journey in the lift takes you to the rooftop at The Great John Street Hotel. This is one of the best features of the whole venue. When the room was being turned around for the evening party, we all went out onto the rooftop for drinks. You get stunning views of Manchester City Centre from the rooftop. Some of the best Great John Street wedding photography is taken here. It’s the perfect place to host guests, decked out with comfy seats. Fiona and Simon hired the amazing Danny Jewell to entertain their guests with some magic! This space is perfect for winter weddings as patio heaters are put out so guests can enjoy year round.
For the evening Fiona and Simon treated their guests to a fabulous party. The entertainment was provided by renowned wedding DJ Andy Murphy. Their wedding guests could get a snap in the photobooth, have a flutter in the casino and dance the night away on the dance floor!
