When a couple gets in touch about their wedding photography and their chosen venue is Nunsmere Hall you can’t help but be excited. It’s one of the premier venues set within the gorgeous Delamere countryside. A summer wedding at Nunsmere Hall presents many opportunities for wedding photography. Expansive grounds, stunning interiors, not to mention the evening fireworks! Helen and Rob had a beautiful wedding planned and we were very excited to be back at Nunsmere once again.
Little Touches
Morning began with bridal preparation in one of Nunsmere Hall’s beautiful rooms. We love the special moments shared during this part of the wedding day. There is always so much anticipation and excitement. Couples often like to give each other little gifts or notes on the morning of the big day. Helen was given a scrapbook filled with memories from her and Rob’s adventures as a couple (and a very nice watch!). It’s these little touches that make for such beautiful photos.
The bride and her bridesmaids had the full beauty experience with hair styling by Becky’s Hair and make up from Make Up By Lorna. All the girls opted for matching personalised dressing gowns. Any excuse to make the day feel even more festive! Once dressed the bridesmaids wore dusky pink downs from ASOS. Naturally Helen stole the show in her Ronald Joyce wedding dress from Confetti Box.
Confetti Moment
Chester Wedding Cars whisked the party to the church in style in their vintage Bentley. A beautiful ceremony followed. Both Helen and Rob smiled the whole time. Catching these moments in photographs is such a joy. After some confetti and lots of well wishing, the guests departed to Nunsmere Hall.
Couples looking for a wedding venue with impact are sure to love Nunsmere Hall. There are few places better for a summer wedding. The gardens are maintained beautifully creating the perfect location for a drinks reception. We always try to take group photos outside where possible. The weather was gorgeous for Helen and Rob’s wedding. Resultantly the group photos were a breeze. Shane was able to whisk the couple away for some portraits in the grounds.
Nunsmere’s Marquee
The wedding breakfast was held in the marquee at Nunsmere. You would be hard pushed to find a more light and airy space. This marquee is so incredibly bright which is amazing for photographs of the speeches. Flowers from The Blossom Room accented the tables and seating plan with a huge garland adoring the top table. In keeping with the colour scheme the wedding cake was a simple pale pink three tier design by Hattie’s Cakes.
Wedding Speeches Photography
Photographing the speeches at weddings is always a pleasure. There are so many touching moments and funny ones too. What really showed through during Helen and Rob’s wedding speeches was the close bond of family. It was a joy to see how much everyone in the room cared for one another. It’s particularly lovely to photograph grandparents beaming with pride.
Sunset Portraits
After the speeches Shane took the couple away for a few moments during sunset. This is always a great time for photos. With golden light pouring through the trees Shane captured portraits of the newlyweds. Summer weddings at Nunsmere Hall aren’t complete without photos taken during the ‘golden hour’.
Evening Reception
At night the marquee at Nunsmere Hall is transformed into a dance floor ready for the DJ to get the party started. We love photographing beyond the first dance and into the evening. It’s great to capture everyone dancing the night away. As a final flourish for the evening everyone took to the grounds to witness a stunning firework display put on by Blitz Fireworks.
