Merrydale Manor is one of the most exciting new wedding venues in Cheshire. Having only been open since 2017 it has become one of the most popular summer wedding venues. Its sister venue Colshaw Hall is also incredibly popular. Take a look at our favourite Colshaw Hall wedding photography. Joanne and Stuart were blessed with gorgeous weather for their summer wedding at Merrydale Manor, it was so much fun photographing their wedding day!
Bridal Preparation And First Look Photos
The day started at bridal preparation, which is one of our favourite parts of the day. Excitement and emotions are always high which creates the perfect atmosphere for wedding photos. Shane’s style of photography is centred around capturing natural moments, this is why we love bridal preparation, there are always so many lovely things to photograph. Joanne and her bridesmaids got ready in lovely matching silk dressing gowns with a few glasses of bubbly. Once in her dress, it was time to give everyone their ‘first look’. Needless to say, everyone was blown away by how stunning she looked.
Merrydale Manor Ceremony Photos
Wedding ceremonies at Merrydale Manor are held in the beautiful oak beamed room which has large windows letting in lots of natural light – great for summer weddings! Taking photos at Merrydale Manor is such a joy, the ceremony space is a fantastic backdrop. Churches often are quite dark as they have a few windows and stained glass let’s less natural light in. This is why we love it when couples choose to say their vows at their wedding venue. Merrydale Manor has the perfect set up to host a beautiful ceremony and capture stunning wedding photos. Joanne and Stuart had a lovely ceremony with a couple of readings from their close friends.
Natural Pictures At Merrydale
After their wedding ceremony, it was time to enjoy the beautiful grounds at Merrydale Manor. During the summer months, guests can relax out on the lawn with a drink in hand. It was the most gorgeous day to capture natural photos of the guests and take the formal group portraits. Once the formal portraits are finished Shane likes to take the newlyweds aside for their couple photos. This is a great time for the couple to spend a bit of time away from their guests and share a few moments together. Read our tips on getting the best portraits. Both Joanne and Stuart were naturals in front of the camera and we were so pleased with the photographs.
Wedding Speeches
Another part of the wedding day which is loved by natural photographers is the speeches. Lots of laughter and sometimes a few tears – there is so much to photograph! Joanne and Stuart’s wedding was no exception. We particularly love a black and white photo of the groom laughing really hard during the best man speech. Capturing moments like these and making them last a lifetime is the most rewarding thing about wedding photography. These are the photos we know our couples treasure the most. Take a look at what our couples have to say about their wedding photos on our reviews page.
Summer Wedding Photography
Summer wedding photography at Merrydale Manor wouldn’t be complete without a few sunset shots. It was such a pleasure to be able to photograph Joanne, Stuart and all their friends out on the lawn during the ‘golden hour’. Just as the sun starts to go down, on a clear day, a flood of golden light casts down. This creates the most beautiful photographs. Shane often takes sunset portraits of the couple and has become part of his signature style. It was great to be able to also capture natural moments between the couple and their guests at this beautiful time of day.
Party Time
After all the fun outside it was time to party! The newlyweds had their first dance in the beautiful Merrydale Suite. Then it was time for the guests to join in and have a dance. Joanne and Stuart had an amazing band for their wedding party, all the details of the suppliers as listed below. Taking photos of the evening party is something we love to do, everyone can look back on parts of the night which may be a little fuzzy!
We had the pleasure of working alongside incredible suppliers for this summer wedding at Merrydale Manor. Thank you to everyone who was a part of making this day so magical!
