The wedding speeches are one of the best times to take natural photos during the whole wedding. A vast range of emotions are shown from embarrassed grooms wishing the best man had left out that anecdote to teary Dads blessing the marriage of their beloved daughter. As a result the speeches are a natural wedding photographers favourite part of the day. There is a lot of pressure to capture these special moments which makes it all the more exciting. Over the years we have seen some hilarious, heartfelt and very cheeky speeches creating a whole host of reactions. Here are some of our top photos from the speeches.
Quality Of Light
We love this photo of Sharon watching her new husband’s speech. The quality of light is just beautiful and the bride looks gorgeous. View our Oak Tree of Peover wedding photography post for more images from this wedding.
Photographing the speeches is such a joy at Abbeywood Estate. The conservatory lets in so much natural light which gives a beautiful quality to black and whites. This particular photo is all about the expression! View more Abbeywood Estate wedding photography.
Hayley and Carl’s winter wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn was an emotional one. There were a few tears during the ceremony and then later during the speeches. Capturing real and raw emotions is really rewarding for a photographer.
Father Of The Bride
Stephanie and Will’s wedding was so much fun. We love this picture as it really showcases the spirit of the day and the people in the photo. The couple were all smiles all day and Stephanie’s dad was such a great guy. See the full gallery from their Abbeywood Estate Wedding.
This image of the groom has made it as one of our top photos for obvious reasons. The best man was telling a few anecdotes which maybe should have not made it to the final speech! Apart from being a bit embarrassed the groom took it in good humour! Full the full gallery of The William Cecil wedding photography.
This photo of Ben at his Peckforton Castle summer wedding is a favourite of ours. So much effort had gone into decorating the room beautifully with candles and flowers. The soft ambient light gives the image a golden hue. We also love Ben’s expression as he watches his wife on their wedding day.
We chose this photo of Francesca as one of our favourites as she looks so beautiful. As her new husband compliments her in his welcoming speech to the guests her bashful expression has so much beauty. This is exactly the kind of image that Shane likes to capture the most.
In this image Shane has used the table decorations and glasses in the foreground to frame the picture. Using this technique adds an extra element to the composition of the photo making it not just a photo of the maid of honours reaction.
Anyone who has been to a wedding can relate to this picture during the best man speech. The bride peeks through her fingers during a particularly cringe moment for the groom. See the full gallery of 30 James Street Winter Wedding Photography.
